Play Room Renovation and Our Favourite Toys.

For those who follow me on social media and now for those who don't, I have recently turned out boring old dining room into a fun play room for my eight month old baby.

One of my biggest 2019 resolutions was to renovate the front room. Ever since we moved in it was the room I hated most to be in. It was painted in all cream, had no character and was usually full of random junk.

On the first day of the year I bought the paint, got the ladders out and started painting. It took me around four days to complete the project in regards to painting. It still isn't complete as we need to add a small sofa, storage unit and a TV. Despite not being complete it has quickly become my new favourite room of the house.

During the day it gets so bright, it fills me with so much inspiration and Rupert loves exploring and playing in there.

For Christmas we were kindly gifted this box/stand/blocks for Rupert.

This is one of my favourite items in the Play Room. Rupert doesn't know its full potential as he is too young but he loves to pick up the blocks and look at the colours.

We have a few items like this, Activity stands that light up and play music, we rotate these every couple of days so Ru doesn't get too bored.

I can't wait for him to be a little older and be able to build with these blocks, mainly because I loved these as a kid myself.

When I first decided to turn the front room into a play room I knew I needed a toy box.

Rupert has hundreds of teddies and different toys ranging from teething, music and vehicles. Our house was slowly being taken over by all these toys and I needed somewhere for everything to live.

Toy boxes are expensive but I found this one on Amazon and it's truly a dream. It matches our colour scheme and is very easy to open and close. It fits all of Ru's toys and more.

A Rocking Giraffe, don't think I really need to explain why I love this.

This was gifted to Rupert for Christmas and is my absolute favourite thing in the room. He doesn't know what to do with it yet and is kind of confused when we strap him in but I know this will become a favourite as he gets older.

It is so well made, I love the quirkiness of it and the fact it has a seatbelt makes me very happy as a worry mum.

There was no way I wasn't going to buy this when I saw it on Instagram.

The Great Little Trading company has always been a brand that has caught my eye and this gorgeous little toy pull along box was the one thing I couldn't resist.

I knew I wanted somewhere to display or put Rupert's Books. His room has shelves packed with books and we were still drowning in books. This lovely little box completes the room perfectly, fits all of Ru's favourite books and Is incredible high quality.

These gorgeous large storage boxes from T K Maxx was my final find for the play room. These are perfect for Toy rotation and teaching Ru to pick what he wants to play.

With one in medium and Large size I am able to fill these with different toys and teddies each week. I'm also happy for Ru to help himself as I'm not worried about him hurting himself on the boxes. They are soft and easy to put away. Plus the cloud pattern is too pretty to resist.

What's your favourite out of all these items?
