Celebrating Pancake Day with Wilko | AD

This is my first Pancake day that I am fully responsible for the prep, cooking and the condiments. I needed to start with my equipment, My kitchen just wasn't prepared for making the perfect pancakes.

Wilko is somewhere I shop often. It is always my first go to for amazing home wear, children's toys and beauty products. Not only is it always good quality but amazingly priced.

I set off to get everything for Pancake day with my list in hand. I needed a non-stick pan for me to get the perfect pancake flip, wish and bowl, a serving plate, measuring jug and of course pancake mix and toppings.

Nutella was a must, obviously.

I was so surprised at what Wilko had on offer, everything was in one place and easy for me to grab. The only problem was what items to pick, there was so much on offer for me to pick from. I probably stood their for twenty minutes going between two gorgeous marbled serving plates and wooden chopping board style serving platters.

My favourite item by far, which is probably the most mom thing to be excited about, is the glass pyrex mini glass jug perfect for pouring the pancake mix into the pan. I am able to measure out how much mixture I need, making each pancake the same.

It sounds silly but it's so important for me to be able to make the perfect pancakes for Rupert's first pancake day.

I am in love with Wilko's kitchen and pancake range. It is all such amazing quality but cost me all together less than £20. I'm able to kit out my kitchen with items that will last me years for such an affordable price. Plus it all looks amazing.

But let's talk toppings. The most important part.

I'm a Nutella and Strawberries kinda gal. Makes everything feel a little more luxurious, like I'm in a chick flick. Harry is a simple sugar and lemon kind of man. But there are so many options and with the Aunt Bessies Pancake Mix you can easily make 16 perfect pancakes. Think of how many different toppings you can test out!

At Wilko I was able to get Pancake Mix, Sugar, Lemon Juice and Nutella. Sorting me out for the big day.

Such a shame Pancake Day only happens once a year. But now I have all this amazing equipment I think my family are going to be having Pancakes at least once a week. I'm obsessed. Good kitchen wear just makes me so happy.

So what toppings do you have on Pancake Day? Let me know in the comments below.
