Things To Do This Mother's Day In Birmingham.

Mother's Day is luring and with every year I find myself thinking 'What am I going to do?'. Whether you want to give your Mom the best day out as a gift or as an added extra to your present, Finding the right thing to do can be really difficult. Most places book up in advance, so getting your mits on the best day can be difficult. So here is a run down of the BEST days out, meals, events, venues and free ideas for this Mother's Day.

Days Out

Days out are a great way to spend Mothers Day in style. They don't have to be pricey but they are often a lovely gift alternative. From Spas, Cinemas and Gardens.

Moor Hall Hotel and Spa
Luxury Day that is perfect for Moms, Nans and Moms to Be. 
I recently spent the day there experiencing their Mom to Be package, which included full access to all their facilities, breakfast, lunch and two full treatments. They also have packages available for the non-pregnant mamas, including treatments suited to the elderly. 
It is a lovely way to spend some one to one time with your loved one and really treat them without breaking the bank.

Great Western Arcade

At One Spa in the Great Western Arcade has a Tea and Time Together treat featuring an express manicure and pedicure for two plus tea and cake in the relaxation lounge for £85 for two.

Hotel Du Vin
Hotel Du Vin in the heart of Birmingham is a fabulous Hotel where you can spend the day indulging and treating your loved one/s. The Spring Pick'n'Mix offer: Choose two of the following treatments - full body scrub, express facial, oriental scalp massage, gel on fingers, gel on toes or firming eye treatment - and a Spring cocktail from £65 per person.

Malmaison Birmingham
At Malmaison at The Mailbox, you can indulge in two 30 minute treatments and a cocktail for £65 per person. This may not be the way to spend the entire day: but situated in the Mailbox, right in the heart of the shopping centre, you can build a wonderful day of food and spending around the treatments.

Cadbury World 

Great for those with young children to entertain, Cadbury World is a wonderful day for all ages. There is plenty to do inside the adventure attraction, from chocolate tasting to historical settings, rides and a look inside the factory itself. The site also has a huge shop, cafe, outdoor play area and a 4D cinema.

Mother’s Love Motown and Soul Special at Akamba

For something a little different, fun for all the family: Treat your mum to some live entertainment and a two course Caribbean meal for £22 at Akamba Heritage Centre in Shirley, Solihull.
There are two sittings, one at 1pm and the other at 4pm. Whilst there, you could pick up an exotic plant from the on site garden centre as a present for mum too.

Plant a pot for mum event at Wyevale Garden Centre

Little ones are invited to go along to Wyevale Garden Centre in Bournville, Aldridge or Solihull to plant daffodils for Marie Curie in a terracotta pot as a personalised gift for Mom or Nan.
Whilst there indulge in a Spring afternoon tea complete with finger sandwiches, fresh scones and pastries.

Safari Park

The Safari Park is always a great shout for any occasion. The whole of the family can enjoy a drive around the park to see the wild animals and get up and close with them. There is also on site restaurants, picnic areas and a fair ground.

Moms upon arrival they will be given a voucher with their admission receipt which entitles the bearer to a free Mother's Day gift!
This can be collected from Sweet Shop in the Lost City Plaza. Valid on March 5 and 6, only one voucher per transaction.

Umberslade Park Farm

With an onsite Cafe, Umberslade Park Farm is a wonderful day out for the entire family. Great for young children and toddlers. If you're looking for something a little low key and no pressure, then this is the perfect day out.

Sea Life

The Sea Life Centre in Birmingham, situated along the canals, is a wonderful day out for the family and couples. I have gone here my entire life and it is truly enjoyable for any age, young kids and new moms will in particular will enjoy the ease of the day. It is fun packed but really easy to enjoy, the walk round can be taken at your own pace and there is plenty to do whilst inside the attraction.

Surrounded by the canals of Birmingham, there is plenty of restaurants and drink spots to visit whilst there.

Selfridges Birmingham Personal Shopping Suite

For those looking to really splash out this Mother's Day: Why not book a personal shopping experience in Birmingham's Selfridges.

For an easy, low key, enjoyable day out then look no further than Winterbourne House and Gardens. With an on site Tea Room and Shop, large open garden spaces and Historical venues. A lovely idea for Grandparents and Toddlers who need to burn energy.

The Electric Cinema

If you're looking for something more relaxing, without the price tag. The Electric Cinema in Birmingham City Centre is a relaxing but old fashioned way to enjoy the cinema. With new and old films screening, food and drinks brought to your table and comfy seating. 

Botanical Gardens

Again, another way to enjoy a low key day is to visit the Botanical Gardens. With local wildlife, butterfly gardens, on site cafe, tropical indoor gardens and wide open spaces. It is a great day out for the entire family: perfect if you have little ones.

Eat after 6pm on Mother’s Day and every Mum eats free.  You must present a voucher from the Toby Carvery App to qualify.  Can’t visit on Sunday 11 March?  Don’t worry Mum can still have a treat of and get a free glass of wine when buying a main meal all day from Thursday 08 March to Saturday 10 March 2018.

Walk Along The Canals

Birmingham has the most beautiful Canals that span pretty much the whole of the city. From Bournville to the City Centre, a lovely walk along the canals is a great way to spend time outdoors.

If you're the kind of people to enjoy riding your bikes then this can be a great idea. Head to your local park, along the canals, in your local area or go hardcore and visit the Lucky Hills.
