May Rocca Box Review

Rocca Box is a subscription service that I am lucky enough to have reviewed before. However, it was a limited edition box and I find that those boxes are amazing but sometimes not a true representation of the monthly boxes that come to your door.

Please note this months box is sold out, but you can sign up for next month and beyond.

This month I received the May edition of Rocca Box, if you were to subscribe this would cost you £10 a month. I was really surprised at the quality of the box and its contents. For £10 you get a lot for your money, get to try a range of different products from well known brands to less known and a wide diversity beauty products to try out.

If you've ever read my reviews on subscription boxes before then you'll know how much I love them. You can pretty much get a subscription of anything these days from cocktails to makeup, home interiors to food. They are a great way to dip your toes into something new or build on your obsessions.

For me these kinds of boxes are perfect for me because I have a low budget for indulging into my love for all things beauty. So I hate buying products at full price to find that they don't work for me or my skin. Rocca Box is amazing because for just a small price a month you get to try loads of different products without the huge price tag.

Elemis Peptide Plumping Pillow Facial. RRP: £18.

When I first opened the box and saw an Elemis product I was really surprised. It is a brand I have always wanted to try but could never justify the price tag. This is a travel sized but you still get a really decent size amount of product, enough to try the product out of a few months and see if you want to purchase.

The product itself is for an overnight treatment, helping your skin stay hydrated and looking fresh throughout the evening. The sleep mask drenches the skin in moisture and helps keep the skin plump and fights the signs of dull and tired skin, which is something I really suffer with.

Honestly this product is worth subscribing to the box alone.

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist. RRP: £10.

Rosewater is something I have always been really curious about, I have heard great things but never really understood much about it. It isn't something I would normally buy, but I was really happy to see it in this box. It is a very luxurious product that is suppose to help keep the skin hydrated, soothed and well balanced.

Again it is a travel size but a great sized product for you to try for a few weeks to decide if you like it or not.

Pact Coffee Planalto Coffee. Bonus Gift.

In every Rocca Box you get an added little extra, this month was a pack of coffee. This isn't really for me but I love how they put a little something extra in each box. This was loved by my dad who is a avid coffee lover.

The coffee is the perfect little packet for you to enjoy in the morning.

These kinds of boxes aren't always going to be a hit with every single product and that's why they're so good for the price. I don't like coffee but there is always going to be someone you know who does like the things you don't. Even if only one product is a smash with you then the box has served its purpose.

St Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Gel & Mitt. Gel RRP: £5.70, Mitt RRP: £5.

The Rocca Box Hero Product is a full sized product and deluxe travel size product from the very well known brand St Tropez. I have used this brand lots over the years and was really happy to see them included in the box. I usually use their full body tan and was very curious to see the bronzing gel, it isn't a product I have seen before. Also I kinda needed a new mitt as I have shamefully been using my socks to apply tan for the past few months. Thanks Rocca Box for saving me.

The Gel is a lightweight, translucent product that is easy to apply giving a natural looking glow to your skin. It has three shades in one so the product can be applied to most skin types.

The tanning mitt is something I have used before: applies your tan very evenly and is very easy to wash.

Nail HQ Essentials Nail HQ Hardener. RRP: £6.99.

Everyone needs a good, go-to simple nail product that you can rely on. The Nail HQ hardener is a full sized staple product that everyone can use and enjoy. The varnish contains collagen and minerals which is designed to toughen and protect your nails. A staple products for lockdown.

Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Hair Healer Mini Takeaway. RRP: £2.29.

The travel sized pot is again enough for you to try it a few times and see if the product is for you. Everyone loves a good conditioner for an intense nourishment, this is a great product to treat your hair during lockdown especially when you can't get to the hair dressers.  The conditioner is created using organ oil, coconut oil and Abyssinian oil to restore damage.

The Rocca Box is a fantastic way to try new products, find new brands and dive into the world of beauty without the hefty price tag.

This box was gifted in exchange for a review. My opinions are all my own, please see my disclaimer for more information.
